Sick babies!!

We have had a crazy week with sick boys!!! Bryon had strep throat and poor Brody cries for hours on end. The doctor says Brody just has tummy trouble, but if it isn't better by his 6 month check we will be getting a second opinion. It sure is nice that Bobbie isn't working because she was able to watch Bryon so we didn't have to take off work. Thanks so much Bobbie; you are the best Grammy!!!!

Funny bryon story:
Bryon was telling me all about Thanksgving and how the Pilgrims came over on the Mayflower. He said that the"aliens" helped the Pilgrims shoot animals for food. He just went on and in about the aliens; it was hilarious. I finally said, " don't you mean the indians????" He said yes the indians. Thanksgiving will never be the same. Too cute!

Bryon also informed me this week that he is no longer going to be a police officer when he grows up. He told me he is going to be a cowboy when he grows up so he doesn't have to miss Keeler anymore. He said he was going to move to Kansas and work on the farm. I asked him if he would miss his mommy and he told me he would come and visit. Pretty sweet that he loves his cousin so much, maybe they will take over the family farm.

 Love my boys!!!!

Happy Halloween

What a fun and busy week we had! Our babysitter had to be gone Wednesday-Thursday to go be with her dad so we had to find a babysitter for Brody. Aunt Trisha graciously watched him on Wednesday. I'm pretty sure she is a superhero because she lugged two babies to a school party and to the mall. (She is amazing!!!) thanks so much Trisha  for watching our little man. Thursday we were unable to find someone to watch him so i took the day off and let both boys stay home for Halloween. We had a wonderful day going to the pumpkin patch and painting pumpkins.
Later that night we went trick or treating, but Bryon was done after four houses and ready to relax in his underwear with Jim-dad.
Jim-dad kept both boys on Friday. They went to the park and played at the house and of course had to make a trip to toys r us. Spoiled? I think so.
Friday night mimi and jjim-dad kept the boys so Russ and i could go to the Price is Right Live. We didn't get picked, but we had a blast.
We sure missed our boys while they were away, but it was a much needed break. Brody even rolled over for Jim. Thanks Mimi and Jim-dad for some much needed R&R.

Brody is 4 months old!!!

It is hard to believe my baby is already 4 months old!!!! He is getting so big. He weighs 15.4lbs (75%)and is 241/4 inches long (65%) and his head is 42.6 cm (50%). He is starting to laugh, "talk", and roll over. He can hold his bottle some, his pacifier and toys. Dr. Maaytah says the reason he startles so easy is due to being colicky and having an immature nervous system. He will outgrow it though. She said he couldn't be any healthier!!! She said we can either switch his formula to non hypoallergenic or start baby food. We are going to switch formula when we run out. Brody had to get 4 vaccines but handled them very well; he didn't even cry on the first shot. Mrs. Dawna (our babysitter) took wonderful care of him. Brody loves her so much!!! Brody had a white spot on his gums that we thought was a tooth, but it is a small cyst that babies sometimes get on their gums. The symptoms  mimic a tooth, but it isn't. Thank goodness, he is growing up way too fast!!!
So in love with my boys!!! I couldn't be any happier to be a baseball mommy to my lil' sluggers. (Brody is already being trained to love baseball too:)

Crazy busy!!!

Well, I thought I was going to be better at this whole blogging thing; I can't believe it has been almost a month since my last post. This month has been crazy busy. We have been busy with birthdays, tball, school, and taking care of our precious boys. Russell had a big birthday in September; he turned the big 3-0!!! We were super excited that my parents volunteered to keep the boys so we could take a much needed couples trip to go to the Rangers game. When I asked Russ what he was most excited about he quickly replied the Rangers game. I see where I rank:) Tim and Erica went along too since Tim is turning the big 3-0 also. We made it a big birthday weekend. It was so nice to be able to go to dinner with no kids screaming. The best part of the trip was Russell catching Adrian Beltre's foul ball. It was so awesome!!!!

This month Brody started with a new babysitter. He absolutely loves Miss Dawna, and she loves him too. It is hard to believe that Brody is almost 4 months old. He is already getting a tooth too!!! He has found his voice this month and loves to talk. He also has begun to laugh which is the sweetest sound I have ever heard.

I also had Bryon's parent teacher conference at school. I have to brag on my little slugger, he is doing so well in school. She told me he took a pre-kindergarten reading assessment and scored a 17 out of 20. She was really pleased with his score and said he is ready to begin reading. We are going to start reading site words. The only thing she said we need to try to work on is his handwriting. He has two strikes against him because he is left handed and a boy, but we are going to practice practice practice. He actually loves to practice his handwriting.

Back to the blog

Well looking at the date of my last post I really haven't been good at this whole blogging thing, but I'm going to pull the pregnancy card as my excuse. Now that Mr. Brody is here I need to make time to blog more. It is hard to believe that my sweet boy is 3 months old today!!! We saw Dr. Maaytah yesterday and he is 13 lbs. 6 oz. She is impressed with how big he is getting. Brody is such a great addition to our little family. He loves to be outside just like his brother. He has been having trouble with acid reflux and a milk allergy and now has colic. We got some prescription drops, so hopefully it will make him better. Most of the time he is full of smiles and giggles. I love that little boy; wish I could stay home with him.
Bryon has started his second year of employee pre-school and he loves it. His teacher has emailed me a few times that Bryon is so good. He was on blue three days in a row. Last year we started the tradition of getting a snack if he was on blue and a toy if he was on silver. This could get expensive this year!!!! I'm so glad he is such a good boy. Russ took him to see planes today since he was so good at school and slept in his bed all week. ( yeah he started sleeping on our floor when Brody was born, and I'm not going to lie I loved having all my boys in my room:) Bryon started weetee again today. Russ is coaching his team the lil webbies. This is his last season of tball and then he starts coach pitch:( My boys are growing up way too fast!
